Destructive karmans’. These karmans veils, deludes and obstructs the qualities of the soul in four ways:
veiling perception – darṣana-āvarṇiya
veiling knowledge – jñāna-āvarṇiya
creating delusion which results in false faith and false conduct – mohaniya
obstructs effort, even though knowledge and intention exist – antarāya
