A leading Śvetāmbara Tapā-gaccha nun of the 20th century who promoted women’s education and was the first nun to give public speeches. After her death in 1986, the Mahattarā Sādhvī Śrī Mṛgāvatī Foundation was set up to honour her. She was named after the famous nun Mṛgāvatī, who followed Mahāvīra.
